The Ridge Street Country School, Inc. has been a family run school for over half a century. We strive to become your child's "home away from home." By developing a relationship and earning your child's trust, we hope to provide a rich, stimulating and safe environment in which we can all grow.

We are proud of the quality of our staff. Our administrative staff is a team of dedicated and seasoned professionals devoted to creating and maintaining the best camp possible. Together they bring to you at least 75 years of camping experience. Our staff members are caring, nurturing, capable professionals who love to do what they do. Each group is lead by a group head, who is often a certified teacher. Many college age counselors work with each group head. Our staff ratio is 1:3 for our 3 year olds, 1:4 for our 4 year olds, 1:5 for our 5 and 6 year olds.

Our swim staff is made up of certified Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards. They teach us all of the skills we need to earn American Red Cross cards and they of course help to keep us safe!


Music is a wonderful part of our program. In addition to singing with their group, children meet twice a week with our music specialist. We sing camp songs and prepare special music to share at our weekly all camp sing called “Round- Up”.


We have an art specialist on staff that creates three-dimensional works of art with the children. Our Art Program emphasizes “child made” projects using many different materials.

Sports are a favorite camp activity.
 Our sport specialist provides stimulating and fun activities that encourage team spirit.
He/she also helps us to develop all of the skills we need for our RSCS Field and Olympic Days! We participate in relay races, soccer, line polo and many other age appropriate games and activities. We practice all of the basic skills of throwing, catching, kicking and running.
